I’m a foodie, wine lover & blogger who wants to meet other Spanish wine professionals and help brands market and promote their products online.
Experience
In San Francisco I worked in Marketing & Sales in the advertising industry before pursuing my true love– WINE! I sold wine for a California wine distributor Henry Wine Group, who was then acquired by Winebow.
I moved in Barcelona in January of 2020 to pursue a wine career in Barcelona. My love of the Spanish culture, language, and wine made this an easy decision, but COVID has made the move a bit challenging. I hold a Certified Specialist of Wine certificate and will be taking my WSET Level 2 diploma in February followed by the Spanish Wine Scholar exam in Spring of 2021. I’m currently improving my Spanish and learning about the needs of the wine industry in Spain.
My “wine philosophy”
I believe that “good wine” is the wine you enjoy, and I try to keep my thoughts and judgements to myself. For me wine is the perfect combination of history, science, agriculture, and art. I love working in the wine industry because it’s one that you can never fully “conquer”. No one person can ever know all there is to know about wine. It’s a challenge to us to continue to learn, taste, and evolve. The first sip of a wine won’t be the same as the last because wine is constantly evolving, to me that is truly beautiful. I created this blog because learning about and finding “good wine” in a new country is a difficult experience. While I have a solid understanding of Spanish wine, I’m focused on learning more about the wines of my new country in order to start my own business here.
I’m interested in partnering with other wine professionals in Europe, in addition to helping brands and bodegas to market, promote, and export their wines to the United States.
